I've decided not to be mad about the security guard, because I very much doubt he was trained to deal with this sort of situation. He's there to deter shoplifters, and that's it. (Although I'm wondering if it's not worth writing to the company and proposing they add it to guards' training? Although, at the same time, shouldn't I just do that for every business that employs a door guard? IDK.)
