An AoG/Doomsday vid. I cannot express the satisfaction I feel, knowing that the vid that's been in my head for weeks actually exists. It tastes like ... success.

It's all about how, like, Rose is nothing without the Doctor and he's nothing without her and they'll NEVER LOVE AGAIN until they've destroyed two universes to be together?

Totally.

I really liked it! Especially the "everybody save yourself" lines, and quick cuts to the beat. And it made my flatmate sniffle. So clearly this is an artform in which you should perservere.

Hurray I achieved sniffles! And the beat! (I have no sense of beat or rhythm.) I'm so relieved you like it. *grin*

I liked it. It put the "doom" in Doomsday. With the sort of ambiguity at the end where "You can never save yourself" could also be interpreted as "you can never save yourself from doomed love"... kinda.

Oo, I like it. Great song choice. The 'sky is falling' bits were particularly excellent.

Your video is great! I think the song works REALLY well (though I'd never heard it before) and you've got some great edits there. Really well done. Is it your first one?

Thanks! It's my second one -- but the first was only thirty seconds. *grin*

I found the song through a random friendsfriends post of someone's favourite mp3s. I'd never heard of it or the artist, but I figured there was some fannish potential in the title.

While I was making the vid, I googled the lyrics just to makes sure I was hearing what I thought I was hearing. I also found a bio of the artist, where I discovered to my complete surprise that she considers her genre Christian rock. I didn't realise Christian rock could meant be so awesome and apocalyptic.

That's neat. I love the trail that leads from chance encounter to this finished, creative product. I think you're doing great!

Is it really time-consuming? I'm always daunted by the thought of just finding the clips and stuff.

It took a few hours to do the actual vid, but I spent quite a few weeks listening to the song -- not constantly, but it was in high rotation on my iPod -- and mentally fitting things in. Then, to simplify the clip search, I decided it should just come from two episodes. Which was cool, as I got to include a lot of smaller moments and character that wouldn't normally be included.

Yeah... narrowing it down to a few episodes would be helpful.
