The problem is, I can't read just one Pratchett novel.

See, I had enjoyed the half of the Going Postal adaptation I saw, but then I got distracted by The Dismissal, so I decided to re-read the book instead. Then, of course, I had to re-read Making Money, because I'd only read that once, and it hadn't really worked for me. (Much better on a second reading, thank you very much.)

After that, of course, I realised that I hadn't read Unseen Academicals yet, because I always have this idea that I hate the wizard books. And this isn't true; I just hate Rincewind. So I inhaled that in a day, and that was great. Really enjoyed it. Lord Vetinari/Lady Margolotta could actually take over from Moist/Adora Belle or Sam/Sybil has my Discworld OTP, if they actually had a proper novel to themselves.

Obviously, this means that I now have to re-read The Fifth Elephant, where Lady M is introduced. And then it occurs to me that I've only read Thud! once, but Night Watch comes between the two, and one should never deprive oneself of a chance to re-read Night Watch. And this will end with me re-reading all of the Watch novels out of order (just ... because), and then I'll probably re-read the Tiffany Aching sequence, because there's a new one coming out soon(ish), and that will lead to a Witches re-read.

Or, possibly, my brain will be ensnared on something else along the way, but if not, at least I have plenty to read.

I haven't read Unseen Academicals yet either, because like you, I have this idea in my head that I dislike the wizard books, and also like you, I don't actually dislike them - I just find Rincewind boring. So I didn't buy it when it first came out, and it was only later that I realised that I love Ridcully and Ponder and the Librarian, and I'd just passed up reading about all of them.

Ridcully/Granny Weatherwax = BEST DISCWORLD PAIRING EVER. Though actually Sam/Sybil is my OTP.

Also, it's always a good time to re-read Night Watch.

I dislike wizard books and dislike sports. I love Unseen Academicals, it's really good.

I think that being sucked into the Discworld universe forever is a good way to go. :D

...I have yet to read Wintersmith. I love Tiffany, but I never got that into it. (On the other hand, maybe I should give Making Money another go, if it's better on a reread.)

The only reason I have avoided this same problem, post Going Postal, is because all but one of the family Pratchetts are 6000 km away and I'm too lazy to go to the library. But it's one of the nicer bugs to get bitten by. *g*

margolotta/vetinari is my favortie pairing allready so your not alone in wanting to have a novel centralizing on them, although i doubt it'll actually happen :( . They might turn up in the new watch book with any luck though. Didnt like unseen academicals very much although seeing margolotta and vetinari together was nice, she seemed a little ooc to me.
