Skywardprodigal
Oct. 16th, 2010 06:46 pmMid-con this afternoon, I learnt via Twitter that
skywardprodigal has passed away.
She wasn't someone I spoke to frequently, but there was always a thrill when I saw her name in the comment notifications, because it felt like a true privilege to speak to her. She was clever, funny, managed to be simultaneously ruthless, unapologetic and tactful when pointing out privilege. She had a great aesthetic eye, and worked hard to promote images of beauty that don't involve white skin. I admired her a lot. She made me think. I can't quite imagine an internet without her. I'm sorry she's gone.
