I am doing much the same thing with the same series. I just finished The Moor. Glad I'm not the only person who finds those books to be nearly the definition of comfort reading.

I thought maybe that was from the ACD books like one of those bits where you think Watson is in love with Holmes.

i would be comfort-reading the hell out of those if i had any of my copies in the same state with me. i am working on an old russell fic, though.
