My feeling about Discovery 208...

...is that -- no spoilers -- at this point the show is catering to me, specifically, to such a degree that I won't even be surprised if the Red Angel turns out to be Kathryn Janeway.

I mean -- she has form when it comes to radically altering history to save people, and if she'll do it for Seven of Nine and Tuvok, she'll do it for the entire galaxy.

Moving from a former obsession to a current one, the trailer for 209 suggests that Kat has joined Discovery and Team Logical Fugitives and is ... taking the fight to Section 31 HQ?

I'M INTO IT. Provided she doesn't die. Or end up in charge of Section 31, which I think Georgiou will ensure is just a longer death sentence. Although it would be an interesting ride, and Kat Cornwell/Increasingly Terrible Decisions is my OTP...

I enjoyed the epsiode, but possibly not as much as I enjoyed the recap, which was just neat.

I very nearly tweeted last night that this was the tropiest, most fan-servicey episode I'd seen in some time, but I didn't want to spoil you. Also, I would absolutely love it if Janeway were the Red Angel. We'd get a "previously, on Voyager" intro with ... I don't even know what, but I want to find out.
