lizbee | NOT DEAD, JUST SLEEPING

The House o'Squid is without internet for the next little while, as we engage in phone company shenanigans and switch ISPs. I'm currently logged on at the local laundromat, and any year now I'll find a local place that has both wireless and power sockets. But for the most part, I am out of reach (unless you know me in RL, in which case you should text me or whatever).

I have to admit that this net-free period has been moderately pleasant, in that it freed up some mental real estate that can better be devoted to Christmas-in-retail stress. Also, I wrote a fic! And finished it! For only the tenth time this year! But it's very schmoopy and a bit embarrassing, so I'm not going to post it until I'm back. Otherwise I'll just fret that my inbox is full of people laughing at me.

Anyway, I WAS enjoying this net-free period, until Saturday morning rolled around, and I realised that I had an entire day off and very little to do. I'm reading a book about the history of Nancy Drew, and I just finished season 1 of The West Wing. Then I opened

suburbannoir's season 2 box set, and we discovered that the first disk is missing. THIS IS DISASTROUS!
