An actual, honest-to-God debate about whether or not women can be geeks. I ... don't understand. Apparently the blogosphere is actually a vast competition for "influence", of which there is a limited amount? The whole thing made me facepalm. It's far too early to parse this sort of rubbish.

Just thought I'd link you to the Geek Feminism Wiki, e.g. this article on Exceptionalism.

There's also the Geek Feminism Blog.

Both do tend to be a little bit free-software based, because that is the sphere of many of the authors, but fandom is discussed (and could be discussed more with the right contributors).
