Um, wow, that's not weeding. That'd actually be unethical. I think that's the first really bad post I've noticed in Awful Library Books. Ugh. Most of the other stuff I've seen falls pretty clearly into the category of weeding, e.g. books that tell teens how to date in 1950 (belongs in an academic library for historical/research purposes, does not belong in a public library for informational purposes).

ETA: You probably knew all that, I'm just a grumpy librarian who gets annoyed when my colleagues fail to uphold professional standards. Sure, it's not easy to have people mad at you, but if you removed everything that might make someone mad you'd have no damn books left.
