Well, that just kind of sucks all round. Except you getting a few days off work -- hopefully you'll be able to enjoy some moderately comfortable time between the pain diminishing and you having to return to work. Also terrible to learn you can't have ice cream -- though if lactase helps, it sounds worth it.
