Notes: This is not new content! Back when white_lotus was running its Lunar New Year ficathon, I created this for noldo, who asked for fic about Mai's political ideas and motivations, or possibly a vid about Mai being awesome. This was anattempt to combine the politics with the vid; whether it succeeded is ... well. Anyway, back when it was first posted I meant to come back and add a downloadable version with a vidder credit. Typically, I didn't get around to it until now, but I'm totally cheating and including it for the womenlovefest.

Also, a rec. If, after that, you want to go watch an actual good vid, piecesofalice has a great one for a Japanese series called SPEC. I haven't watched the show, but between this vid and our kitchen conversations about the plot, now I kind of want to. And it's just really good. SO YEAH.

Great timing on the SPEC rec. I'm one episode away from finishing and it's a gorgeous looking show; I was hoping someone had vidded it. (It took me about half the show - five episodes - to get really into it, and there was some stuff going on in the first half that I really didn't like, but then I fell hard in the second half. It's worth checking out.)

Pieces warned me it's very procedural for the first half or so. But I start watching it tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to it.
