I'm generally a big fan of Google's new designs, or at least, my feelings range from positive to indifferent. But I have a problem with the new-look GReader. Take a look at this screencap and see if you can guess:

WHERE ARE MY FEEDS, GREADER?  I WANT THEM!  I WANT THEM ALL!  NOW!

Is there a setting I should be changing?  Or can anyone recommend a new RSS reader?  I'd like to think it's some kind of browser incompatibility, but surely Google products still work with Chrome?  I mean, really.

ETA: GoogleReader seems to be working now. I WILL BE GRATEFUL AND REFRAIN FROM WONDERING WHY.

In a moment of great Google synchrony, it's showing up correctly on Firefox.

Wow, that's weird. It's working in Chrome for me though (both at work and home), so I don't think that's it. *puzzled*

I can't see anything in my settings that would cause this, either.

Maybe it's a temporary glitch? Yesterday I couldn't mark posts as unread, but that option was back for me today. Though not being able to see the feeds at all is a bit more of a problem, admittedly.

They seem to be back now. It's very odd, but at least I got a few more minutes of procrastination out of the way before I had to start writing.

Excellent! Next, let me complain that a song I purchased from iTunes disappeared off my iPhone, and now comes up in iTunes's list of songs I've purchased but not downloaded -- but the download button is greyed out.

I JUST WANT THE STUPID SONG AND I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN!

Argh, how does that even happen? Did you anger the technology gods or something?

Google test changes by randomly giving them out to people, I have no idea how they then work out if their changes work. Perhaps they use Google Analytics to tell you did nothing but reload the page. Or wait for people to send in feedback.

Anyway, that's probably why it broke for you, but no one else, and then started working properly later on.

Absolutely everything was gone in the left pane, in my case, but refreshing about five times brought it back. I'm glad I saw this post plus the ETA before my first visit to the new greader, because otherwise the great emptiness where my feeds used to be would have been a lot scarier than it was :P

Still, this is a pretty faily way to roll out new things, Google.

Oh, wait, everything disappeared again while I was in another tab typing this comment. Brilliant. *was getting tired of greader anyway, time for a new app*
