My Fringe realisation

It started as an odd sense of something being out of place: the "vagenda" line in the previously.  Generally Fringe's previouslies use clips that have some emotional resonance for the episode, regardless of what universe it's set in. 

Then Walter was banging around calling Fauxlivia "Mata Hari" and generally referring to her sexuality.  Why?  Without Peter, her time impersonating Ourlivia involved "merely" the misappropriation of friendship, not the seduction of Walter's son.

Unless, of course, Fauxlivia seduced Walter.

And then we got to the bonding over candy, and "You're flirting"/"You wish" bits, and YOU GUYS, FAUXLIVIA TOTALLY DID WALTER.  I'M CALLING IT RIGHT NOW.  THEY HAD SEX, AND THEY LIKED IT, AND NOW THEY'RE ON SPEAKING TERMS AGAIN AND MAY ONE DAY HAVE SEX AGAIN, POSSIBLY BECAUSE HARNESSING THE POWER OF PETER'S EXPLODING HEAD MIGHT COME IN HANDY.

I ship it.  I mean, I also ship Ourlivia/Walternate, and quite groove on the fact that Walter did experiments on her brain, so really, this shouldn't have come as a shock.  I'm still bitter that Ourlivia's relationship with Nina is now overtly mother/daughter, because I've just spent three seasons being convinced that Nina was totally into Olivia. 

Oh, and the Astrid story was lovely, although it needed much more Astrid.  Astrids.  And while I love Danny Pudi's work a hell of a lot, and think Abed Nadir is a totally excellent character, there were a few moments where it seemed like either the script of Jasika Nicole's performance was too-overtly riffing on Abed.  (I mean, we know from the other week that there was at least one explicit Abed reference that had to be toned down in an earlier episode.) 

In short, really what we need is another Astrid episode, and then another, and maybe one where Astrid and Broyles FIGHT CRIME.

I caught the Fauxlivia/Walter flirting, but somehow didn't make the rest of these connections, probably because I was too busy shipping Astrid/Astrid.

Also, yeah, I did get the sense that Altlivia had seduced Walter in Peter's place. Also, also, I think in the regular blue!verse you can still make a case for Nina being into Olivia, though if they keep some of the amber!verse feelings/memories, I'm not sure Olivia would reciprocate.

OMG, and I just wrote on tumblr about how this was the story of Walter and his 4 daughters. It makes perfect sense...and now I want fic.

Glad to see I'm not the only one annoyed at the new development with Nina/Olivia. They have way too much chemistry going to play mother and daughter.

I was totally there thinking that Fauxlivia seduced Walter. I mean, that stuff he had of hers, tops and things, why would they be there in his lab where he lives unless she's like stripping off in his lab? And it was so so so very flirty and betrayed and I just don't buy it that he'd feel that way with mere friendship.

So, yeah, shipping it. :D

Yeah, I really can't see any other explanation. I wonder if/how much it'll get addressed, assuming it is what happened? 'cause that would be some very interesting backstory.

I too shipped Olivia and Nina before the adoption. Alas. On the other hand, I'd heard Olivia/Nina being recced as good for mommy!kink even before S4, so I bet some people are happy about it, heh.
