Breaking: "Legend of Korra" will not be "The Wire"

I'm deeply charmed that Bryan Konietzko stops to specifically explain that LoK will not be like The Wire.

But I'm also disappointed, because what I really want out of life is a Saturday morning cartoon about Lin Beifong's cops fighting a hopeless battle against the triads, who have their own problems and reasons, while also providing a metaphor for the decay of society. With subplots about Tenzin's faltering idealism as he tries to undo the legacy of Tarrlok's corruption, and a fifth season about a hardworking Gary Stu reporter who is ultimately screwed over by the system.

If someone wants to write that fic, I'd totally read it.
