I'm a bit embarrassed to find myself looking forward to The Carrie Diaries, especially since it has a projected lifespan of about three episodes and I've never seen Sex in the City, but YA/coming of age + Freema is a pretty winning combination for me.

Also, just based on this, I have a feeling there's going to be some age-inappropriate Larisa/Carrie shipping, and I'm down with that.

In other news, every single year I forget that in hot weather, my desktop makes a noise like a helicopter. It's the fan. It's a problem. Like, when you can't hear a song or video over the sound of your computer fan? Annoying and probably bad for the machine as a whole!

Between the ridiculous fashion and the "I collect people" and the complete lack of personal boundaries and the "rebellious phase" I am having a lot of trouble seeing this as anything other than some kind of fandom-meta-genderswap-meme thing where Freema is the Doctor instead of Martha. And it is very entertaining.

Ohnonononono this can't be happening. Carrie Bradshaw is the most horrendous, superficial, soulless vacuum ever committed to paper. The last thing we need is to see her before she's even grown up yet.

That said, there could be a great deal of potential for Freeema to do that exasperated rolling-her-eyes thing that she does so well.

Mind you, despite Kim Catrall I only lasted one episode of Sex and the City.

I do love Freema more and I want her to have splendid TV success.
