I wish there was, like, a flag you could wave that signals "I'm only going to work because I'm out of sick leave". Sadly, I need the money, especially since I'm spending $300 on a rheumatologist visit on Monday, and will only get $120 back from Medicare. I wonder if my boss would understand if I just curled up in the server room for a nice nap?

Well, there's always the International Maritime Signal Flags. I suppose the Delta flag ("Keep clear of me; I am maneuvering with difficulty.") would fit your situation, as would the Mike flag ("My vessel is stopped and making no way through the water.")...

As someone who has arthritis (though I'm disabled because of mine) I like the idea of having the t-shirts/hats you can wear. I'll buy one of both, please.

I hear you on this. Except it turns out I keep forgetting to apply for it, which is why it *looks* like I have sick leave, and my time sheet is in the red.

Alternatively - I'm too sick for work, but I'm here anyway, because I can't face getting even more behind. Those are the days my inbox gets below 1000.
