I thought the on-the-noseness of this episode was grating as well, but apparently we're two years into Korra and people JUST figured out that Korra is angry about having been cloistered and treated with kid gloves.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks there's going to be more to this North/South story than we've been told so far.
