Truncated December meme (with bonus January)

I am SO busy at work at the moment that I spent most of my day off yesterday playing Mass Effect 2, just because it was quite soothing, driving from planet to planet, stripping them of their natural resources. (I call it Gina Rinehart mode.) I've been doing a lot of overtime, and I'm so fatigued my cheek is twitching.

HOWEVER, later this month, I will be on leave. Very likely unpaid leave, at least for part of it, because the decision to close down the office for the first time EVER was made after I had used up a whole lot of leave going to Japan and then dipping into it here and there for sick days. (I only get 10 sick days a year! I mean, I know that's standard, and some people don't even use half of those, but I'm a delicate cupcake, dammit!) At this stage, I'm thinking, at least it's a holiday.

So these are my leave days! Claim a day and suggest a topic for me to blog about, and I'll do my best to answer your prompt!
