Tilly is Kirk, But A Woman, which makes the double standard to which she’s subjected all the more depressing.

In fact, Tilly is Kirk But a More Emotionally Sorted Woman, because she seems quite happy with who she is and sexually confident, whereas Cadet Kirk may not have been a womaniser, but he did get manipulated into a relationship where we can surmise that he catastrophically misjudged the seriousness of by Gary Mitchell (worst best friend ever).

Okay, yes, that's an excellent point. Though granted, "Less of a romantic failbot than Kirk" is a surprisingly low bar, considering his reputation.

I am still slightly baffled by his reputation given how failtaistic he frequently is in canon. (It makes canon Kirk a much more interesting character than fanon Kirk, IMO, but you rarely see it).
