On the blog, I am easily distracted by worldbuilding questions, have so many notes about pacing and structure, and yearn for the confidence of a mediocre Vulcan man. Yes, Sarek, I'm talking about you.

(Among all the other reasons I'm sad that Discovery is done for the year, I've really come to rely on Sarek being The Worst. This alone justifies its being a prequel for me. At this point all he has to do is show up, and I can extrapolate from there.)

(But he really is the worst.)

HOMG, he is that, isn't he? EVEN WHEN HE MEANS WELL -- like, his comment to Michael loving a Klingon? SHE NEVER DID, SAREK; SHE LOVED A SWEET HUMAN MAN, AND YOU ARE PROJECTING! In fact, she breaks up with him over the Klingon thing...okay, also the choking and general violence memory, but really, Sarek...THE WORST.
