I intensely dislike Empress!Georgiou, but this is likely an indication of what a great actor Michelle Yeoh is. I really hope they give her more chances to go full wuxia on someone's ass, though. Everything is improved by Michelle Yeoh kicking someone's ass. Preferably with swords.
