The two remaining actually-YA shortlistees were both offered via NetGalley. They proved more difficult than I liked to get into my Kindle app (had to set up a NetGalley account, authorise my Kindle account to receive files from that address, etc).
When they finally landed, they both proved to be poorly formatted and difficult to read. They might be masterpieces, but obviously the publisher didn't care to let the voters find out.
With only one shortlisted book both eligible and physically readable, I've decided that I cannot reasonably vote for the Lodestar this year.
