A brief visit from the Fashion Police
Jun. 13th, 2009 09:51 pmWe had a great evening at the Shanghai Dumpling Restaurant, where we got unlimited food for $12 a head. UNLIMITED FOOD! Unfortunately, our stomach capacities are not unlimited, but we did our best. And one of my gifts from
sajee and
dear_prudence was a glossy photo from the RSC's Hamlet -- it's an artistically blurry portrait of Patrick Stewart as Claudius, somewhat marred by the presence of an ugly Scottish bloke in the foreground. They also gave me a quilted bag, made by
dear_prudence, and a voucher for work. And
nixwilliams and
daniel_bethany gave me two kinds of tea, and some handpainted chocolate.
BEST. BIRTHDAY. EVER.
Then, on the tram ride home, we received mocking glances from two Irish women, who seemed to derive amusement from the fact that
suburbannoir and I were wearing identical boots. But the joke's on them, because they were wearing leggings as pants.
