I found this, and I was like, THAT'S FABULOUS! ZOE SALDANA AND SIGOURNEY WEAVER! IT'S LIKE A MELDING OF TWO GREAT SCI-FI FRANCHISES! ...AND GALAXY QUEST!
Then I did some research, and found out they're both in Avatar (the James Cameron movie with the blue people, not the race!fail adaptation of the cartoon), and did a panel on women in action/sci-fi. Mystery solved, except for the question about the hand thingies. I like how Zoe Saldana's all, LOOK, I'M WITH SIGOURNEY WEAVER, THIS IS SO AWESOME! and Sigourney Weaver's like, I TOTALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING HERE!
