May. 12th, 2010 07:37 pmWith ongoing LJ fail -- it's not a surprise that their staff can comment in people's locked posts, but the fact that they do is another matter all together -- I've decided to speed up the process of moving properly to DW. So as of now, comments on LJ are closed.
I know that this is a dealbreaker for some people on my flist, and others are simply put out at the perceived extra work in using OpenID to leave a comment. To the first category, I can only say that, while I like you a lot, I don't share your opinions, and weaning myself off LJ is important to me.
To the second category, I would like to point out that OpenID is easy and secure -- I use it across many blogging platforms, and have never had even a hint of a security problem -- and once your OpenID account is set up, commenting on DW requires exactly the same amount of clicks as on LJ.
For now, my LJ flist and comm memberships remain the same. Also I have three invite codes for DW:
