Wow, what a great song. I hadn't heard that before. It works really nicely, highlights the contrast between times. And I like the paralleling of young!Reinette with older, and also with Rose. Very nice.

Thanks! That one was really hard, because I only had footage from one episode, and I found the song complex. I'm glad it worked for you.

I can imagine. I wonder if it's possible to shorten the song, and thus make things easier on yourself? That depends on how patient you want to be with editing, of course.

It is possible, although I don't have the program to do it. But I liked the song as it was; the issue was really with the increasing tempo. I ... don't have a natural sense of beat.

Ahh. I think you covered it well. If I get a chance to watch it again, I'll see if I can think of some tricks for you. If you want.

Okay, I didn't find a lot I could argue with, despite my arrogance in offering advice having never done one (I keep trying, and WMM keeps crashing!). But the only thing I think I'd have done is put more of the "subliminal" speed cuts in there, a few more edits to fragment some of the longer scenes towards the end. But that's just taste, I think. Because I like some of the bits you hold out, like young!Reinette looking back at the robot until he turns his head--that's nice. But it seems that some of the shots during the faster part go on a bit long, and I might cut them up by inserting really quick "foreboding" elements that flash by.

Or something.
