There is some very inexpensive software called "PM Stitch" which will convert any image into a pattern- I'm currently doing one of Britney Spears right now.

Only problem with it is that it makes everything a little too purple- but if you are better at picking yarn colors, you will be fine- just print out the nice color pattern, and asign the yarn of choice to the colors.
