I'm a big fan of microwavable lunches after work -- "lunchtime" being nine in the morning for me.  And today's lunch came with a free spork, which compensates for my ongoing inability to watch the episodes of Doctor Who I've downloaded.  Why is it that the only decent computer in the house has a broken CD-Rom drive?  Why did my brother get a 32Mb flash drive?  Why do my new fish stare at me so mournfully, as if they, too, regret the lack of Who?  Why am I too lazy to go out and buy The Hallowed Hunt as planned?

Today, only my spork brings me any joy.

That belongs on a tshirt. Or an icon, at the very least. :D

There's lots to be said for microwaveable lunches like that, isn't there? Quick instant TV dinners, gotta love it ;) Though I disagree with that being lunchtime... wowser, that's far too early!

Well, when "breakfast" is four in the morning...

True, that certainly makes a great deal of sense, but... geez, 4 in the morning? I'm guessing somehow you don't have many late nights, if work regularly starts around then ;)

Awesome pic, belongs at one of the Sue comms. I think unfortunately, we're trading karma, cause the cd-drive on my laptop started working today after being dead for months. You can always try the usual cable check/ reinstall drivers, if you haven't already.

You know, I am amazed sometimes that we have ever actually seen each other at all, because my lunchtime is more like 8pm. Maybe you've just been a projection all these years, and I've never met the real you at all.

Also, your spork is eminently loveable.

I find this possibility so compelling that I cannot actually respond to that statement at all. Do you really exist? And if not, who has my Russell novels? (Do you have The Moor, btw? I know I put Beekeeper's and Monstrous Remiment in your hands, but I can't find Moor anywhere. I'm on the verge of resorting to extreme measures -- cleaning my room. We need to meet up so I can swap you those for O Jerusalem -- of which, thankfully, I happen to have two copies.)

Yes, I have Moor, and the others. They are all sitting beside my bed in a neat pile with a post-it saying "GIVE TO LIZ!!!" stuck on the top. But ... how did they get there, is the question we ought to be asking.

I know! I'm going crazy, Weaves! I did loan you Moor? I was almost certain I hadn't. On the other hand, I was almost certain that I hadn't loaned you Beekeeper's, too, and I was wrong there. Oh well, it explains the gap in my bookshelf, not to mention the odd way that it didn't appear to be hidden beneath the enormous pile of clothes and rubbish on my floor. Bedroom cleaning is averted!

Although I'm worried that I may be becoming senile...
