lizbee: A sketch of myself (Default)

Yesterday, I cleaned my room. This is significant, because I was setting a new standard for slobbishness, and my room was starting to resemble the local homeless man's rubbish collection. And I always find the best stuff when I'm cleaning -- I need to get a photo of my bookshelf, because there is no piece of furniture that better encapsulates my personality. Also, it's covered in squid memorabilia and bubble pipes and awesome crap.

I also found a whole lot of old sketchbooks and loose papers with drawings on 'em. I sorted through them, threw the unsavable stuff in the bin, and have begun to finish, polish and scan what remains. So there is more to come, which is probably bad news to those people who gently ignore my attempts at art. Sorry about that.

Really, is there anything a Sharpie cannot do?

Okay, so there was kind of a story behind this. In that I went through a phase (of a week) of drawing Tonks in her mopey HBP incarnation. Among those sketches was one of her alone at Christmas, and that was such a downer that I had to compensate with happyfluffy Remus/Tonks. Now, if only I could find that original picture...

Now, was that so painful? It could have been worse; I was tempted by the icon survey...

I love the Ginny one! So clear and just good. You should icon-ise it.

Also, Aust post reckons it's just backlogged (currently express is taking a week...) so I spoilt the surprise for nothing *sigh*. Damn coffee making me freak out about a billion and one things at once.

Thanks!

And don't worry about spoiling the surprise. Enough of our mail has gone missing lately that, had I known you'd sent something, I'd have been worrying myself. Erm. I don't think that makes sense, but I mean to say that worry was not unjustified.

Seconding. The Ginny one is very clear and sharp and polished and would likely make a great icon.
The R/T is cute

Thanks! I might have a go at iconising it later on. That hadn't even occurred to me. *grin*

The Ginny one is really striking, but both are really nifty. ^_^

I know what you mean about cleaning up. My flat looks like a yarn store. You can tell the places I sit; there's a different project at each place...

Thanks!

And you're right about being able to track movements through the mess -- I unearthed whole archaeological layers of projects. "Ah, that was my drabble phase!" And so forth.
