Ever had one of those days where, as you write fic, you feel the cold eyes of a fictional character on the back of your neck? And, as you write, you know they're planning their revenge for the tortures you inflict, and that it's only a matter of time until they strike you down with a well-aimed curse or some carefully chosen form?

All I can say is, thank God for high quality tinfoil and the Fourth Wall.

Fictional Character-Proof Armour. I've found that caterer's foil, as used in some bakeries, is stronger and more durable than household tinfoil.

And just so as you know, colouring tinfoil? Not easy. Not that my colouring skills are anything to write home about, but.

Also, I have a door into Laurie King's head. Just like the Knight2King theorists the folk who thought Luna was Snape's daughter everyone who guessed that Peter's silver hand would kill Lupin Look, I made a lucky guess, okay?

The son mentioned is found in various Sherlockian literature, commentaries suggesting that Holmes spent time with Irene Adler in France during the Great Hiatus after Reichenbach Falls.

Hmmm.... fairly sure that Montenegro has never been a part of France...

Also: you should write that lost book! (Yours would be better anyway).

Hey! There's still time for Peter's silver hand to kill Lupin! But I would be sad...

My life is peaceful, because I do not own an atlas.

On the other hand, my geography SUCKS.

Also: you should write that lost book! (Yours would be better anyway).

No, no. I've tried to write my version a couple of times, but then I get bored and move on to the sequel. Which is more interesting and has Nazis.

Hey! There's still time for Peter's silver hand to kill Lupin! But I would be sad...

I'm afraid that JKR said last week that it wouldn't happen. So Remus's chances just improved slightly.

Argh, why does she keep telling people what won't happen? LET PEOPLE HAVE THEORIES, JK, EVEN IF THEY ARE LAME. Because good authors don't tell their readers what to think.

You and [livejournal.com profile] ataniell93 should get together sometime. She has a lot to say about JKR's comments on Slytherins, and the fen who love them.

Not to mention the point I saw raised in another LJ this week, that apparently she rather compulsively websurfs the fansite checking on the theories and absolutely does not want anyone to guess where she's taking things. Apparently she hasn't realized that by herself closing off avenues of speculation, she's narrowing the odds of one of the monkeys on typewriters keyboards actually hitting on the plot of Hamlet Book 7.

Shinyshinyshiny!

(That term is even more meaningful now that I've seen Firefly.)

Yeow, that stuff is tough. You could go into a spin and shred your enemies. I'm going to get killed by a tinfoil suit!

You're not my enemy! Unless you declared war on me without telling, but that would be unfair.

This shredding business, though, has a lot of merit.

Heh. I was just misquoting The Xmas Invasion. The mental image of a spinning thing with sharp edges... sleep depravation makes ideas fit together in weird ways.
