Urgh, Derek Jacobi's Hamlet. It was the version we had to watch in class, and while there were individual things that I like about it, I just disliked it so much on the whole. I mean, I like Derek Jacobi, and I obviously love Lalla Ward, and I really, really like Hamlet (not as much as King Lear, but I guess there's just something about first loves, you know...), but any version of Hamlet that I spend offering mean-spirited sarcastic commentary and head-desking at the ACTING! is one of which I'm afraid I can't be a fan.
