Harvey doesn't understand all the fuss over a proof copy of rj_anderson's first novel, but I do!  (I'm in the acknowledgements!)  I'm going to read it, then I'm going to lend it to all my librarian friends, then I'm going to lend it to my sister.

But in the meantime, I'm going to look at that pretty, pretty cover.  *drool*

Uh-huh. Just so you know, this is a running theme with cats, the not understanding what the fuss is about re: stuff that isn't them. (After all, are books cute soft and pettable? No.)

Harvey sees the book as a direct competitor for your time. As far as he's concerned you're going to be wasting good fussing time to read a book! (My cat is exactly the same and will sit on the book I'm currently reading in order to get some fussing. Sillycats.
