Sarah Connor 2.22: "Born to Run"

lizbeeOh, show. While this would function quite well as a series finale, I really hope SCC doesn't get cancelled, because the game has changed in a completely mad way.
So. We begin the series in the 1990s, with John and Sarah hiding out. They jump through time to 2007, as SkyNet once again becomes active in its trans-temporal assassination attempts.
Now we have John, the Weavernator, John Henry and Cameron's chip in the 2020s, while Sarah and Ellison are trapped in the past.
I love this show so much. The expense of portraying a dystopic future pretty much ensure its cancellation, but I'm glad they took this big, final risk. It actually makes a satisfying ending: Sarah hasn't averted the Terminocalypse, but John is in a position to make a difference and save humanity.
With all the talk of alternate timelines and whatnot, it looks like he has jumped into a whole new timeline. One where John Connor was never in a work camp to meet Kyle Reese, but there's still a resistance. That features, among others, Allison from Palmdale, a touch I liked very much.
Don't laugh, though, but for weeks I've been dreaming of an ending where Sarah ends up in the future, along with Cameron and Derek. Leaving John to go on and face the inevitable alone, while she tries to find a place in the resistance. (This also ties with my other theory, that if anything ever happens to John, Sarah will just cut her hair off, put on a baggy shirt and assume his identity.) So I'm a bit disappointed that hasn't happened, but I'm coping.
As for the present, I like the notion of Sarah and Ellison picking Savannah up from gymnastics, then going on the run and seeking the missing Danny Dyson. (If the show is cancelled, I hope Friedman tells us what they were planning with that. It has piqued my curiosity.)
OH, AND YOU KNOW WHAT'S AWESOME? If John Henry isn't just carrying Cameron's chip, if he's actually ... using it -- that means the role of Cameron is currently being played by Garret Dillahunt. Suddenly, I find myself shipping John/Cameron. I KNOW.
Please, TV gods, a third season! Or maybe a series of high quality TV movies? *sacrifices the cat*
