For Australians in need of bookses
May. 5th, 2009 02:31 pmGiven that Amazon may or may not be a bit evil these days -- not to mention the State of the Economy -- I thought I'd mention Fishpond.com.au, which seems to be the closest we've got to a local Amazon-equivalent. Their prices seem decent, and they have a good range. No idea yet as to shipping times etc, but I plan to buy the new Mary Russell novel from them on Thursday, and then we'll see.
If you would like some minor lulz (or if you're an RL friend wondering what to get me for my birthday), I have created a wishlist. It's as accurate a depiction of my obsessions as any. (But seriously, if it's a book that's easily available from regular stores, I'd sooner have a Borders voucher. There's nothing worse than working in a bookstore and not being able to afford books! Also, staff discount.)
