Political parties can make floods now? And so can supermarkets? Are we living in a Michael Crichton novel?

And if I were Christian, I'd take offense on God's behalf. I mean "God's vicious enough to murder innocent people because he doesn't like gay people joining the military and stupid enough to not be able to tell the difference between the US and Australia!", seriously?
