A whole mass of sketches, a couple inked, none coloured yet.  A cavalcade of Romanas, some gratuitous costume-swapping, a bunch of companions and a bonus Snape. 

Lately, my scanner has had serious Issues with pencils, a problem which is going to dog this entire post.  Anyway.  After I posted "Hitchcock Bottle Blonde", blinovitch said she had trouble picturing Romana in Rose's outfit, and requested a sketch. It's hard to tell which character is more dismayed. 

Then, one thing led to another...



I'm not a huge fan of manga-style fan art, but for some expressions it's just perfect. Rest assured that this will be inked and coloured, so that Martha and Rose's faces can be appreciated in all their glory.



You know, David Tennant's hair never stops being fun to draw.



The Four Romanas.

...WHAT?

Oh, okay. The television incarnations, plus the semi-canonical Evil Flapper version created by Paul Cornell, and the fanonical ginger!Romana who was popular last year. I figured she's had more fic written about her than the flapper version, so I might as well throw her in.



And the two actual canonical proper versions, together.



All four female companions from the new series. Yes, I'm including Astrid. Her name is an acronym for TARDIS, you know. I'm insanely pleased with how Rose turned out, but I messed up the heights -- Kylie's obviously standing on a chair...



And some Snape, because he deserves a portrait, dammit!

Going through these, my number one conclusion is that I really need to clean my scanner. You might not notice the single speck of dust on the platen, but it's as clear as day to me.

I drew that Snape the same day I read the Carpet Book. I DREW HIM THROUGH MY TEARS.

The Rose picture? Turns out that using photo sources actually works. Who knew?

No, sorry, I deleted the whole thing from the internet years ago, and the version I had on my hard drive was lost a few months later when the computer died.

moo! that is just rotten! Especially since you nailed that pairing way back - esp. since it turned out to be right.
