I got home from work, and somehow it was like INSTA!BAD MOOD! Usually it's the other way around. But I sat down, and suddenly today's stomach cramps turned into hiccups, and then there was the casting call for the new Torchwood characters, and that was like RTD had sat down to create the maximum amount of fail possible. So no good mood for Liz! Maybe I'll feel better after I've had a shower and a glass of wine*.

In the meantime, let's all admire RTD's casting call. The new characters on Torchwood are:

- asshole white guy
- woman of colour who unrequitedly loves asshole white guy
- Roman Polanski

Things which don't seem to upset belly: lighter red wines, smoked salmon and marscapone pizza, strawberry and lime cider, frozen spaghetti bolognese, Arnotts Country Cheese crackers, raspberry and orange juice. Things which do upset belly: EVERYTHING ELSE.

But hey, at least there won't be any women in miniskirts! I haven't stopped laughing since I first read this. I may never stop.

There's nothing specifically saying that Esther can't wear a miniskirt, except for the fact that Rusty probably thinks that all people who are religious live like Amish or unreconstructed Mormons.

Except in those Dawkinsian star cults, where you're required either to wear miniskirts or dress at all times like a cheeky Edwardian servant-boy.

Hey now, Romana sometimes dressed like an Edwardian servant-GIRL!

That surely must've been in connection with some esoteric ritual or other, though. (There is star-cult fic out there somewhere, isn't there? Or is that hoping for too much?)

The more the Dawkins star cult resembles the Order of the Golden Dawn, the happier I am.

Is that one of Aleister Crowley's projects? What I know about modern occultism would fit into a beetle's thimble.

Not originally. Aleister Crowley seized control after a leadership battle with Charles Williams. Which, as you can imagine, has been made into a graphic novel.

That....looks kind of interesting, actually. Hmm.

It's apparently better as an English Lit lesson than as a story, but that's okay by me.
